My teaching this week was 2 Corinthians 2 and I used the Paradoxical Commandments to highlight forgiveness and doing the right thing even when others mistreat you. For my PowerPoint presentation looked up the paradox lessons of Jesus in the gospels. This pamphlet on the Radical Teachings of Jesus includes some of the same examples. The world we live in today is so motivated by material possessions you would think people needed a u-Haul to carry their treasures behind the hearse. Each of the twelve radical teachings are attractively displayed on a single page with the scripture passage used. A colorful two column table shows four areas The World’s Teaching, Jesus’ Radical Teaching, Know This (a promise for Christians,)and Living Radically. The author shares more than one hundred references to the Kingdom of God/Kingdom of Heaven. A brief explanation of the kingdom is well written and on the back of the pamphlet. Rose Publishing gave me this pdf file to give a fair and honest review.

The book is cover for the twelve-radical teaching of Jesus. Each teaching is broken down into the same subtopics for each teaching as follows You’ll learn (1) how the world looks at life, (2) the radical teaching of Jesus, (3) pithy instruction on the teaching and (4) how we can live a radical Christian life.
Jesus teachings were radical. Here we can read just a sampling of those. They address issues like, having power and control and looking out for number one; dealing with fear; doing good for others with the right motives and more.
Pros What I liked
The book covers twelve relevant topics for today. It gives examples of how the world teaches versus what Jesus teaches. It encourages you to apply and act on each of the 12 teachings and then asks questions for reflection at the end of each.
I think most will enjoy the down-to-earth language used. It is easy to understand and apply.
Cons What I didn't like were some of the headings the teachings. For example, instead of a heading like “Don’t Be Afraid.” I would rather see headlines that express the world's view versus the Jesus’ view Fear versus Faith as an example. You could do that for all headings.
All of Jesus’ teachings are powerful. But I wonder if I were to select just 12 whether these would be the 12 I’d choose. That said, the booklet would be an exceptional resource for initial bible study on the twelve topics.
The book gives you a feel for Kingdom thinking. Jesus was the antithesis of fallen man. He taught in opposites the last will be first is an example.I think this is an excellent primer for how to walk the Christian walk in a radical way.

Nice, Colorful. It's not bad. It doesn't have alot of info, but it helps.
